Another film based on the Shirley Jackson novel The Haunting Of Hill House, this was released a mere 3 years or so from when the book was first published. It is a classic, directed by Robert Wise, boasts some pioneering and truly terrifying special effects and a damn site better than the way over done Jon de Bont remake of 1999!
