The sharks in this horror/thriller are makos, although it's not clear if they are short fin makos or long fin makos: the movie doesn't make that distinction. Below is a You Tube embed of a video posted by the Discovery Channel of what shark finning looks like; clearly sharks so much more to fear from us than we ever had from them! If you are sensitive, don't watch it.
