Like Rogue Trader, this is also based on a true story. It occurred in the 1980's during the hey day of LBO's (Leveraged Buy Outs), when a private equity company KKR run by Henry Kravitz and his cousin were running rough shot over Wall Street, creating loads of bad debt, laying off people left and right (some of whom killed themselves), punishing other in business for choosing not to do business with them, and pocketing loads of cash in the mean time. It's was real FU territory. Kravitz got so full of himself over the LBO's, that he had people convinced that he invented them. He didn't, the Dutch government did....in the 15th century!
