For the life of me, I can not understand why this killer alien sci-fi horror doesn't make lists of killer plant films!!  I mean, the alien IS a plant!  RIP James Arness!  Arness, who passed away only just last year, was a favorite of my late father--eve after he scared the crap of him and a friend in theaters back in 1951 when they went to see this movie when it was brand new!
