The "Driver" an action hero--well yeah--who says you can be an actual action hero and an anti-hero a the same time??? Some say it's slow--jeez don't they appreciate the gore when it finally bursts? I love car movies, and haven't managed to actually schedule a Friday Fright around cars yet (which means I basically suck), but this one for me doesn't just have elements of the classic Bullitt, it's almost a remake, only entirely urban, with more extra gruesome death methods applied. It's a revenge flick. Hell with a character simply called "Driver" how could he avoid being an action hero--the name alone almost
approaches super hero status.
