This PBS Mystery sees the return of Adam Beach, Sheila Tousey and Michael Greyeyes. Add to the Wes Studi (Tsalagi [Cherokee]), Misty Upham (Blackfeet) and Saginaw Grant (Iowa/Sac & Fox/Otoe-Missiouria). This is based on the Tony Hillerman characters of Jim Chi and Joe Leaphorn, the same two characters as from Dark Wind. Even director Chris Eyre of Smoke Signals makes an appearance as the slightly funny judge Amadeus Pinto (that section of the film was actually directed by Wes Studi).
