This is one several movies based on the classic novel by Shirley Jackson The Haunting Of Hill House, this is the British take. It is oh so English in it's approach and a load of fun! Dating from 1973, it was released 13 years after the novel was first published--it does not follow the plot closely, but the underlying story is still recognizable.
