I am a much bigger fan of the original made for television version of this, which adheres much more closely to the novel by Susan Hill, but I do love the above movie poster! It reminds me a bit of the classic House On Haunted Hill (1959) poster [see below]. Also, this one is on Blu Ray, and visually it's stunning; soundtrack is good. The film does have it's moments as well. All in all, however, a pretty disappointing remake, even with Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) in the starring role...and me such a huge fan of Ciarán Hinds! I will say that it is nice to have Hammer back up and humming.
