FIRST UP:
This is really my least favorite Burton movie, which is why it's getting played early. It is easily his most expensive and lavish production in terms of sets and actors, but it always seemed really forced to me. Although he really had a dream of his to "re-imagine" this, it comes out not so "re-imagined," and the results seem outside of Burton's comfort zone in film making. So here's Roger Ebert's take.
