Today's New Theme: Spooks In New York City

New York City is my favorite city bar-none!  No offense to all the other great cities around the world, but even with it's neo-neon "tourist friendly" remake and downtown big chain fast food vendors moving in, though diminished, it still has the right stuff.

The actual "Amityville Horror House" on Long Island

There could be any number of reasons for doing a Friday filled with NYC horrors and criminal grit:  9/11 tenth anniversary on Sunday, Fashion Week for New York next week, the beginning of the autumn weather change to fall when Central Park goes all red and gold, or even the new generation of brand new Ford Taxicabs hitting the streets of Manhattan....but the real reason is:

Celebrating the two week run of the US's biggest (by far!) tennis tournament, which is almost over.  The Open is the last of the 4 big Slam events on each calender year, and signals that Fall is just around the corner.  So taking a break from Tennis today (and rain delays...) but not straying far from it's location in Flushing Meadows in Queens.  So skyscrapers and all manner of spooks; sounds good to me!
