31 Days Of Blavod: Day 5--Black Ice

This is simply Blavod over the rocks.  So, like the Black Eye, one would need to savor the flavor or smoothness of the vodka.  So this brings up that there is actually a debate about the actual "naked" merits of this particular vodka.  People argue over whether the catechu acaia used to color the vodka seriously impacts the flavor.  I personally think, it depends on you taste buds.  People are different. I can't detect any of the "cons" included in this review for example.  Other people in my family who have tasted it frozen didn't think it was sophisticated as a spirit, but found suitable "smooth"  One of them is my husband, so it is just a genetic thing.

Happy Halloween!

It is an expensive vodka, relatively so, starting at around 30 bucks, and going up from there during the Halloween season.  So, it may or may not be worth spending that much for "neat" drinks.  Try a nip, if you don't particularly like it--use it in mixed drinks; there it shines darkly!  Cheers
