I'm biased about this film. I grew up with "carnivals" just like this. Actually it was the county fair that came around about this time of year. It was made up of all types of carnies that traveled all over Florida--and many of them were creepy! Ever heard of Vernon, FL.?? The whole "alive, alive, alive" over the loud speaker is enough to keep me watching, it totally rings like a memory. Yeah, I know the freak killer is ridiculous, but for me it just removes the real creeps I get from watching Hooper's carnival stuff.
