The Friday Fright winter TV veiwing season kicked off two weeks ago with the second season of HBO's "Rome." Today it continues with the complete 5th season of the comedy mureder mystery series "Psych." It's a little bittersweet--for 4 years the annual winter viewing of the latest season of "Psych" was also accompanied by the latest season of the equally funny murder mystery series "Monk," but alas "Monk" is off the air after 8 season, but "Pysch" is going strong, and today, it's flying solo. Life goes on....
For the DVD release, the season premiere Romeo and Juliet and Juliet, an extended special version is presented. The story revolves around a mystery that Shawn brazenly, and probably stupidly, insert himself and Gus into a case that involves two seriously rival factions of the Chinese Triad--which, as the title implies, they drag policewoman Juliet into. It's one of those episodes where either the theme song and/or the opening titles is altered (that's just one of the things that I really love about this show!), in this case the titles start off in Chinese characters (Mandarin) and morph into the their English originals.
Here's a clip of some of Pysch's famous bloopers reels.
