I'll be damned if I have ever been able to figure out what is really going on in this snowy thriller--it's probably bad writing (!), but I am a big fan of both Adam Beach and Jurgen Prochnow and it does have a ton of snow! I mean the snow is kind of the point....if you are snowed in and there's some sort of serial killer on the loose at some flea bag little road motel, it's supposed to be scary right??? Well, not so much. A lot of blood, and again...a lot of snow!
