Aztecs: Dr. Who: The Aztecs (Four Parts)

This is an early Dr. Who, with the original Doctor played by William Hartnell.  It is a four part bit of extreme silliness, that mocks anything resembling real Aztec life in Tenochtitlan before the coming of the Spaniards.  It is appropriate to play on a day like Dia de la Raza (or Day Of The Races [what a joke!])AKA Mexican Columbus Day, to show how Europeans in general got everything wrong about New World civilizations, especially those that practiced sacrifice.  The language is murdered, the costumes are ridiculous and the High Priest of the High Priests, who is misattributed to the Priest of the Rain Gods (there is only one Rain God Tlaloc) and the actor playing him seems to approach the part with a mixture of Shakespearean villains:  Iago and Richard III.  Don't get me started about the face paint!
