The Cookiecutter Shark is a tiny little shark of the dogfish family, it is also a sincerely deep water creature with some very weird teeth!! They rarely exceed 22 inches in length and live between 1.9 to 2.3 US miles down!! (3 to 3.7 km). They also sport photophores for eyes, which allows them to see in the dark, and dark it is at these depths. They are called cookiecutters because the bite they take out of other fish is in a perfect circle, shaped, well, like a cookie.
