Give me half a chance to slap on a Godzilla film and I will jump at it! Besides, The Weena enjoys a good Japanese monster flick too. This is actually the second Godzilla movie produced, after the original kaiju film featuring him for the first time in 1954--which was later released in the US in 1956 as Godzilla: King Of Monsters reworked with American actor Raymond Burr bearing witness to the destruction of Tokyo by the atomic monster. This classic kaiju Toho production is the film that gives the world the "secondary brain" found the del Toro's recent kaiju blockbuster Pacific Rim.
