Fun with Frankenstein

We enjoyed numerous Frankenstein frights, from some of the most slocky, to some of the most difficult to watch.  In large part, we kept it classic and very much enjoyed the James Whale double feature late in the afternoon.

Lady Frankenstein 1971
Son of Frankenstein 1939
Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man 1943
Frankenstein 80 1972
Frankenstein 1931
Bride of Frankenstein 1935
Frankenstein 2007 (UK made for television version)
Gods and Monsters 1998
House of Frankenstein 1944
House of Dracula 1945

Below are a few images of the actual Castle Frankenstein  located in the outskirts of Damstadt, Germany.

As for what is widely considered to be the very first film of Frankenstein, this was filmed at the Edison Studios in 1910, directed by J. Searle Dawley, seen here at Internet Archive.  Note, if the site says that your browser supports their new video tag, I highly recommend using it; it greatly enhances the print.  But don't worry--you will still be able to view in their "regular" mode.  Below is an image of Dawley's monster
