I say if every time that I post something regarding this film...but there is not way that I am letting comedy horror go by without including this because it was filmed, in part, at my local amusement park Wild Adventures with extras from the same university that my husband teaches at...and, well, I'm also from Tallahassee, which is, BTW, the last place I would want to be in a zombie apocalypse!! I almost forgot to mention that I recognize the powwow music from the fake Indian wampum road shit stall....it's Otter Trail.
I never get tired of this film! While I'll confess that all round I think that Evil Dead II is an all round better film...I can still watch this one over and over again in a way that I can't with Evil. Some that is that it's just a funny, but it also is more conscious to include even more movie references. It's one movie reference after another through out the whole film. If you are a film buff, you'll love it!
Seems like when it comes to horror comedy, the idea that aliens taking over the earth seems to make it's way into a lot of screenplays!! This is a prime example of one the latest in that particular comedy genre. We've had rolling critters and we've had murderous Klowns....now we have slimy, squirmy, well...slithery things!
