The Colony (2013)

Okay, I haven't seen this before, but couldn't let this Friday theme on winter go by without getting in a post-apocalyptic ice age type film....and I just couldn't bear Snowpiercer again!  Could be terrible, but it does have Fishburne & Paxton.

Currently Nominated: Mad Max--Fury Road (2015)

I've said it before, albeit on Twitter, that I have no real idea how this film got a jaw dropping 10 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture; when there were quite a few serious snubs this year (and that's not even approaching the controversy 2nd year in a row about lack of diversity!).  There is no point listing all ten nominations, if interested visit IMDb here.
