Happy New Year: End Of Days (1999)

Dedicated to my late father.  He was not Catholic!  He was not particularly religious but came from a Baptist background.  But for some reason this was one of his favorite "Arnold" movies.  He even suggested it as a start to his last birthday, which happened to fall on a Friday.  I showed up with "Christmas bread" around 9:30 in the morning with baby Peanut and he already had it cranked up.  So Happy New Year Dad--I know you are out there somewhere!

For Grandpa George: Mars Attacks

For Grandpa George: The Ladykillers (2004)

This remake in the southern idiom was basically my father's favorite crime comedy and Coen Bros. film.

For Grandpa George: Burn After Reading

One of my father's favorite later Coen films.  He thought it's "espionage idiocy" was hilarious--he always hated the red-tape of government.  He'd know, he was mixed up in to the top.  Needless to say--retirement was something that he enjoyed!

For Grandpa George: Public Enemies (2009)

Public.Enemies.2009 Full Movie By Johnny Depp by Cinemalife

This is the next to the last film that I saw in the theaters with my Dad.  It's set in 1933, the year of his birth, and, of course, is based on real events--lore that he grew up with.  Great soundtrack!
