Great Directors: Cronenberg's Rabid [English version] 1977
This is one of my favorite horror films form the 1970's! I really like Cronenberg as a director in general, but this is one of his films that I think is seriously underrated by horor fans. It is as close as Cronenberg as come to making a zombie film and it also more than a little vampiric. Rabid stars Marilyn Chambers, famous from Behind The Green Door. It certainly doesn't get anywhere near the attention that Scanners or Videodrome does! It's worth a look.
Haunted Hospitals: Session 9
This was actually shot at Danvers State Hospital....before some ass-wipe "property development" company got their mitts on the the property. I have a family member that actually worked in this place in the 1970's! It deserved the reputation that it had as well and truly haunted!
Michael Clayton
Today is a grab bag day, but instead of pulling individual movie out of a bag, different themes are getting selected and then a movie is matched with it. Starting out with writer/director Tony Gilroy....lots to choose from there in the way of thrillers, but just can't get enough of Michael Clayton!
