Aztecs: Q--The Winged Serpent

"Q" of course stands for Quetzalcoatl the "plummed serpent"--or the God of Life in the Mesoamerican Pantheon, and his worship in the Valley of Mexico dates at least back to Teotihuacan, as the Aztecs called that ruined city.  In Larry Cohen's world, it's just simply "Q."  His winged serpent is some combination of snake, bald dinosaur and flying voracious lizard.  It apparently has a taste for high rise real estate, as it nests in the top of the Chrysler Building in NYC.

Crpytid: Muckman (2009)

No budget silliness about a supposed Native American cyrptid.  Better written than most films of this sort.

Cruptids: The Liar Of The White Worm

I know that this is more a straight forward monster movie, but it is loosely based on persistent stories from all corners of the world of giant snakes over various sorts hiding out in the damnest places.  Certainly a cold damp cove in the north of England would be one of the last places you think to find snakes of any sort, much less a giant one.  But then again, it's supposed to also have supernatural powers--explains everything!
