This attempts to be an old fashioned monster movie, set in my favorite city NYC, but when the actual Aztec stuff is brought in, things get a bit messy.  For anyone who knows the Mexican pantheon, the idea to skinning someone over Quetzalcoatl is just plain silly...that's Xipe Totec!  But, hey, this is a Larry Cohen film...I'm a fan, so I forgive him and will sit back and soak up the monster silliness that a giant flying reptile is actually living and reproducing in the top of the Chrysler building!!
