It's not widely known that Stanley Kubrick's first project with Jack Nicholson was to be an epic biopic of Napoleon with Jack in the title role. All preproduction was complete when the studio pulled the plug on the picture in 1969. Here are some pics of my own personal copy of the collected production materials put out by Taschen:
