One of my favorite early slasher films--and not just because it's set during Christmas--though that has it's appeal (I will admit to having a thing for the very old style multi-use chimney on the house...it's a fetish). It's just got a unique look all it's own, what with the voyeuristic quality of the 16mm that it was shot on, but also the small town setting that proved to be a kind of template for slashers later on in the 70's and early 80's.
