Oscars Weekend [Horror At The Oscars]: The Exorcist (1973)

Nominated for a whopping 10 Oscars--a crazy number for a horror film (!), it won only two; one of which was for the Best Adapted Screenplay for the now late William Peter Blatty who also wrote the novel (it also won for Best Sound).
