One of many mid-1990's serial killer flicks, this one has the perks of sporting not one, but two great actresses at least: Sigourney Weaver & Holly Hunter--even if the story is ridiculous. The whole MO of the killer is to emulate the murders of other serial killers...hence the title. It's too cute by half, but the film is watchable because of the those two performances, with the addition of Dermot Mulroney. The Harry Connick Jr. turn as the killer with the ridiculous "serial killer name" Darryl Lee Callum (gotta have three names...)--that Weaver's character has put on death row--is overblown and the only real distraction for me. The device on one killer communicating, and motivating, another killer is also stolen from Thomas Harris.
