This is a B-Picture atomic twist with university students thrown in for good measure. Someone discovers a giant prehistoric fish, perfectly preserved, and, of course, it gets exposed to gamma rays, making it's blood a toxic radioactive substance. The research professor studying, exposed to this blood, then turns into a monstrous ape like hominid that starts stalking the campus. Why it turns him into a ape monster, I've never really gotten....I know that the whole plot revolves around "de-evolution," but it seems to me a fish monster would have been much more "50's"!
