Another World War II conspiracy film, this time from well after the US had entered the war on both fronts. It has many of the same elements that Hitch would later use in North By Northwest, only the protagonist in this case is deliberately set up. When he escapes custody, the conspirators plans go awry. What follows is a 3000 mile round trip across the US to NYC, where the set up man Barry (played charmingly and on the edge at the same time by Robert Cummings) and his now willing (who started out very unwilling) accomplice Pat (Priscilla Lane) have to crack a well entrenched Nazi conspiracy on American soil all on their own. In many ways the film is a bit of a "US soil remake" of Foreign Correspondent.
