Catholic Theme Explained

Today is a minor Catholic holiday--that of St. John Baptiste Day (Saint John the Baptist).  It is "minor" because it is only really seriously celebrated in the Canadian province of Quebec, and even there, most of the celebrations are confined to Montreal.  Anyway it is a good excuse for some good old fashioned Catholic horror films; and since the church is known for it's elaborate exorcism rites, there is no lack of them!

Creepy Catholic Fact 1:  The office of the Inquisition (best known for the Spanish Inquisition of the 15th century) never went away.  The "Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition" is still around--big time!
