Ironclad (2011)

I am a fan of the very versatile Paul Giamatti, and have enjoyed his varied roles as different from each other as his turn in the spoof  Shoot 'Em Up to his very realistic portrayal of the historical John Adams.  So I'm interested in his acting take on the lily-livered equally historical King John of England, who famously gave us the Magna Carta, which would give us (those of English law, that is) Habeas Corpus, which has so dangerously been steadily undermined in the last decade.  And, hey the film has reportedly got some really good steel on steel action--I big plus with me, as I am a sword collector.  It also is the first time I'm seeing quality actor James Purefoy, since his over the top Antony in "Rome."
