Right now this is one of my all time favorite vampire movies. It's not just that it's gory or creepy or dark, it's just a damn good horror film. And, OK, I admit to being a huge fan of Danny Houston!! This role is pretty out of character for him and yet he nails it! Also, being a John Carpenter fan, and actor Mark Boone Tucker, who has a small but memorable part in Vampires, has a much bigger role in this film...you know, "welcome to Barrow!" I just like the idea of having a vampire infestation at the top of the world during the dead of winter. The sequel should have been set at McMurdo Station!!
