Terry Gilliam's absolutely horrifying dystopian film Brazil was only nominated for two Oscars (Best Set Decoration & Best Original Screenplay) and it did not win with either category; but every time I watch this film I am struck that it is one of the clearest examples of how full of shit the Academy is...not only did it deserve many more noms--it deserved to win! Oh and, it was released in it's native UK on this date: February 22nd.
