I grew up with this story, it is ultra famous in the deep South. I always hoped that if someone chose to make a movie of the Bell Witch and the supposedly true events that took place in rural Tennessee that it would stick to the story, which is scarier than hell. But leave it to Hollywood to muck up a good thing. I am no paranormal investigator, but the original story sounds a lot the kind of poltergeist activity that has been documented surrounding troubled teenagers, especially girls. Stick to the original account, or go with the troubled girl thing....not this loud ass mess of film! Screening this because Weena (top cat) loves it, and she currently thinks that a member of the household who is away on a trip is dead.... Cats!
