This is another favorite Christmas phantom of mine, the Icelandic Yule Cat. A frigid fright that was tied to getting the wool harvest and all chores tied to it done before the literal dark of the coming solstice, this is a Christmas Creature that still gets attention in Iceland. It's one of boogey man stories that all cultures have....if you don't to this or that...so and so will get you! Called Jólakötturinn in Icelandic, it, like Krampus, has it's own website
